SAFETY!
Lavender essential oil is one of the few that can be used undiluted on the skin. For example, to soothe sunburned skin or insect bite irritations, a drop of pure essential oil can be applied. However, when using on larger skin areas, it should be diluted.
For pregnant women: true lavender essential oil is not recommended during pregnancy, but it is very beneficial during labor, as it calms, balances, and relaxes emotions. Back and lumbar massages with lavender essential oil (2% in vegetable oil) are recommended one week before delivery. Lavender essential oil cannot be used after epidural anesthesia.
For children: safe for infants and children.
The basic rule of aromatherapy – less is more, i.e., essential oils work better in small doses.
