SAFETY!
Lavender essential oil is one of the few that can be used undiluted on the skin. For example, to soothe sunburned skin or insect bite irritations, a drop of pure essential oil can be applied. However, when applying to larger areas of skin, it should be diluted.
For pregnant women: true lavender essential oil is not recommended during pregnancy, but is very beneficial during labor as it calms, balances and relaxes emotions. Back and loin massages with lavender essential oil (2% in vegetable oil) are recommended one week before labor. Lavender essential oil cannot be used after epidural anesthesia.
For children: safe to use for infants and children.
The main rule of aromatherapy – less is more, i.e. essential oils work better in small doses.
