Botanical name: Ricinus communis
Cold-pressed, unrefined castor oil is pressed from castor bean seeds. Pure castor oil is thick.
It is rich in fatty acids - ricinoleic, omega-9, omega-6 acids - which make the oil effective.
PROPERTIES: used to promote hair growth, can help moisturize dry hair and scalp, gives hair volume and shine. Indian castor oil can help remove impurities from the scalp, thus preventing dandruff. When used regularly as hair masks - hair becomes healthier, regains shine and reduces split ends.
Castor oil is used for eyelash and eyebrow care, as it can help promote growth. Therefore, it is recommended to apply a small amount of oil to eyelashes and eyebrows daily before bedtime. In the morning, if the oil has not been fully absorbed, rinse with water. Be careful not to get oil into the eyes.
The ricinoleic acid in castor oil acts as a reducing agent for acne and dark spots. In addition, this oil penetrates skin tissues deeper than other vegetable oils. It cleanses and moisturizes the skin, protecting it from dryness. When a pimple is removed with castor oil, darker spots do not remain in its place. Castor oil helps keep the skin elastic and radiant.
USE:
- Hair mask with castor oil and hair end reconstructor: Distribute a small amount of castor oil to the hair roots, scalp and hair ends. Applying too much castor oil will make hair greasy and sticky. Cover the hair with a plastic bag and wrap in a towel. Leave for 15-20 minutes or even overnight and wash with shampoo. Use castor oil for 6-8 weeks as a mask once a week and you will see results.
- For better effect, place the oil in hot water and leave for a few minutes until the oil warms up. Then apply warm oil to the hair, as heat opens the hair cuticles and the oil is better absorbed. Warm castor oil for hair is an affordable luxury and benefit. You can mix castor oil with other vegetable oils if you prefer a more liquid consistency. You can add essential oils according to your hair type.
- Castor oil for eyelashes: apply a small amount of oil to clean eyelashes
- For acne-prone skin: To eliminate pimples, place a towel soaked in hot water on your face in the evening and leave it for a short time to warm the skin and open the pores. Then apply a small amount of castor oil to the skin and leave overnight. Repeat the procedure 1-2 times a week and after just a few weeks you will see results.
This oil is for external use only.
For more convenient use of the oil, you can purchase a pump dispenser.
