Wood chips and sawdust are steam distilled and this is how guaiac wood essential oil is obtained.

USAGE

Aromatherapeutic properties:  

• reduces stress and increases concentration;

• improves mood.

Perfumery properties:

• widely used in the perfumery and fragrance industry as a heart note or fixative;

• gives various scents depth and longevity;

• has a wonderful sweet wood / rose scent and is very popular in soap and cosmetic fragrances;

• guaiac wood has traditionally been used as incense in sacred rituals, especially before meditation.

SAFETY!

Important: Pure guaiac wood essential oil is thick and waxy, so it needs to be warmed before use. When used in perfumery, it is best diluted in ethanol. Do not use pure in electric diffusers, unless diluted in ethanol.

For pregnant women: The effects on pregnant women have not been fully studied, therefore we recommend consulting a doctor-aromatherapist before use.

Do not apply directly to mucous membranes, nose, eyes. Use on skin only when diluted.

The golden rule of aromatherapy – less is more, i.e. essential oils work better in small doses.
