Mango butter, 50ml
Botanical name: Mangifera Indica
Mango butter is pressed from mango fruit kernels, making it nearly odorless. Mango butter has a softer texture than cocoa butter, but has the same moisturizing and restorative properties. The traditions of using mango butter originated in the tropics, where indigenous people discovered its skin-softening, moisturizing and protective properties.
Mango butter is obtained by mechanical extraction (expeller pressed): the process uses a press that, due to high pressure and friction, creates a high temperature (60-99 C), therefore technically the oil is no longer considered "cold-pressed". Nevertheless, mango butter is an indispensable ingredient in moisturizing and nourishing natural cosmetic products.
Use:
Mango butter is used to make various cosmetic products - from lip balms to body butters and traditional soaps. To use mango butter neat on the skin, first warm it in your palms until it liquefies and massage it into moisturized skin. For more convenient use, mix mango butter with a liquid oil.
We recommend using mango butter for:
- reducing rashes and relieving itching;
- sunburn: reducing skin peeling, soothing the skin;
- regenerating frostbitten skin;
- preventing stretch marks during pregnancy;
- relieving discomfort caused by insect bites.
